Lara Bohinc takes cues from celestial forms for first seating collection

The orbit chair is one of my favorite chair designs of 2018. The clean lines of the brass frame meet simple forms for the upholstered seat and backrest. Even the golden and blue color pallet play on the planetary visualizations and depth of space. I love Lara’s comment “To me, these spherical forms are simultaneously ancient and futuristic.” - it speaks volumes about the different timescale of space. The Nordic Light Exhibition titled, Mångata, put on by the team at NOTE at the Nordiska Museet – the Nordic Museum in Stockholm – one of the oldest and grandest museums of the city – captures the experience of the Nordic Light in the museum’s unique banquet hall which is 126 meters long, 15 meters wide and 24 meters high, and resembles a Gothic cathedral with high arches and pillars.
